Your Role

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development & Communications Manager to shape strategic positioning and communications for the driveblocks Autonomy Platform across civilian and defense markets. This role is positioned with a broad range of responsibilities to drive sustainable growth and shape how our platform delivers value to our customers. The main tasks are: 

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to position driveblocks’ technology effectively in the civilian and military market, turning deep tech into tangible customer value 
  • Develop and execute communication strategies and organize high-impact events - from exclusive customer and investor gatherings to major international trade shows
  • Create communication materials: copy / texts, images, and videos. Producing content yourself and managing external partners
  • Support commercial matters across the full customer lifecycle: from lead generation and offer creation to account management. Work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure close alignment. 
  • Represent driveblocks in public funding initiatives - from application through execution and support with partnership initiatives within the autonomy ecosystem (e.g. sensor and compute partners)
  • Conduct in-depth market, use case, and business case analyses to shape go-to-market strategies across both civil and defense sectors
  • Build and maintain a clear view of the competitive landscape, geopolitical dynamics, and macro trends in civil and military vehicle autonomy to inform senior leadership decisions

Your Background

  • 3+ years in business development & sales or product marketing within the off-road vehicles or defense industry.
  • Good understanding and passion for innovations around robotics, AI, and autonomous driving in civilian and military use-cases
  • First experiences with procurement processes in the off-road vehicle industry or the defense industry
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex deep tech products to customers, investors, and other senior stakeholders
  • Analytical and strategic mindset combined with clear focus on tangible outcomes
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel on short notice based on business needs.
